A huge thank to everyone that made the second year of this Tournament in memory of Jimmy Bone our late Patron, who spoke so genuinely of his passion for the cause last year. It was a great day with the weather allowing colleagues, clients and friends to not only enjoy the the great course at Hagg's Castle, but the sporting camaraderie to help make an impact for the community in Zambia.
This was such a heart warming event to make him proud as it more than doubled the income from last year for Africa On The Ball. This was thanks to the great generosity particularly of Richard Taylor and Richard McMullan for attending with his family and donating great Auction Prizes, as well as Reggie McMahon and Robert Half for bringing two teams and donating the Sandy Lyle signed glove for Auction.
The day would never be possible without our hero, Bob Burke's Golf passion and Patronage, but also the great support from our Glasgow On The Ball volunteers, Andrew McNee and Michael Cotter for arranging everything, and Dr. Andrew Jenkin, our Founder for attending to say a few words about this great movement for positive change. Thank You!
What stood out was the passion and kindness from everyone there who loves sport and understands its great power to positively impact the lives of those most disadvantaged. So a big thank you from all those you will never meet but had their lives changed by you. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year, and expanding the event with more likeminded Golfers helping to make a positive impact in Africa.
