While we're passionate about the sport of football, we are also calculated in how we use it to create positive change. All our activities are designed to create wider social and community impact with education at the core.

We use a community football club model to engage with young people in Zambia and help them as a part of team to learn new things and give something back to their community through outreach programs. Africa On The Ball is a team in every sense of the word, we work together to achieve goals as well as score them.

UGANDA

Uganda is classified as a country with low human development; it ranks 157 out of the 193 countries on the UN Human Development Index. Demographically, more than 56% of the population are under the age of 17 (a statistic second only to Niger).
Bwindi is a remote area located in the South-West corner of Uganda. The people of Bwindi experience high levels of poverty and infrastructure is limited. Children have little access to sports, health and personal development opportunities.

Buhoma is located close to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a densely wooded area where endangered mountain gorillas live; the town is also home to the Bwindi Community Hospital, which serves a local population of 120,000.
Football for Bwindi Schools
We are aiming to introduce a football programme into 14 local schools in the Buhoma District. The programme will use football as a catalyst to improve physical and mental health, empower and bring life skills to 2,500 children, aged 4-14.
With your support we can create life-changing opportunities for the children of Bwindi.

LATEST PROJECTS

The drainage project involved the construction of drainage networks to improve water management and reduce the risk of flooding at our football pitch In Kalingalinga. The drainage project was made possible through the funds that were raised in the Kiltwalk.

What began as a small donation in 2022 has now grown into one of the most anticipated annual community events in the rural parts of Luzi District, Eastern Province, Zambia.

Our outreach teams conduct weekly Physical Education and life skills sessions in three schools: Mama Stella’s, Kalingalinga Community School, and Kalingalinga Primary School, with full support from school management.
