WHAT IF EVERY KILOMETER YOU COVERED COULD CHANGE A LIFE?

Challenge

Scotland to Zambia Challenge - March 2026

Join us in an extraordinary challenge this March, as we attempt to cover 11,000km - the distance from Scotland to Zambia - one of the poorest countries in the world.

Whether you do 5km a day, go for a few spins on your bike, or take a walk with the dog, every kilometre will help us continue to bring people together in safe, structured team environments - spaces where confidence grows, skills develop, and futures are changed.

How to Get Involved

Take part: Join the challenge by walking, running, cycling, swimming or wheeling your chosen distance.

Alumni Football Match

A football match in Munich between the Varsity, Alumni, Staff and Students from the Bavarian International School (BIS) was held to raise money for AOTB. The event coincided with Zambia Independence Day (24th October), and the Elena Sarra Memorial Tournament at Kalingalinga aimed at girls and women in the area, that honours the legacy of our late co-founder, Elena Sarra.  She made gender equality & female empowerment a core value of AOTB. See what happened at the 2025 Elena Sarra Memorial Tournament.

Message from Katriina Talaslathi, BIS Alumna, Pro Footballer

"Walk to Zambia" - 11,000 kms from Munich to Zambia.

The BIS Community are aiming to RUN, WALK, BIKE, SWIM or do any sporting activity to contribute to the 11,000 kms from Munich to Zambia.  Any sporting activity for an hour = 5km to help reach Zambia.

Ask friends, family & colleagues to sponsor your efforts via the Justgiving  fundraising link (click "Join Us") to support academic, skills & coaching scholarships and help build the new "AOTB Community Education Clubhouse".
