On the Ball Events

What are On The Ball (OTB) Events?
A fun and easy way to support AOTB and Be Part of our Dream and Part of our Team, is to set up a fundraising football event such as a fun 5-a-side tournament that could have categories for age (including walking!), ability and gender.

However, you could set up any event or challenge and try to add up your kilometers as a team with your friends and raise vital money for AOTB. You can enter teams of up to 10 players for an entry fee of £ 50/team paid directly here.

Accumulate kms by walking, running, cycling beforehand and help your organisation complete the total kms from your location to Lusaka, Zambia (can be tracked on Strava linked to Justgiving fundraising pages)

ON THE BALL EVENT ‘25

Raise as much money to help fund Academic and Skills Scholarships at the Lusaka Youth Resource Centre and support an annual team of 15 volunteers with AOTB community outreach programmes especially in 3 Schools and 1 Orphanage.

Step 1 - Start an event
-
Agree the timings and venue for your organisation.
-
Find some donated prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, highest amount raised, and the most kms towards your OTB Group Challenge.
-
Fill out the ORGANISER REGISTRATION FORM to register your event and contact us with your plans and any requests for help.
-
Use our digital resources to reach your audience.

Step 2 - To Enter an existing event
-
Participants sign up as teams (up to 10 members) by filling out the TEAM ENTRY FORM as per the slide , and pay here £ 50 / team. 100% of this fee goes directly to AOTB.
-
Once teams have entered, the participants can easily fundraise online via our AOTB JUSTGIVING page. Justgiving is a free and simple way of fundraising as an individual or as a team with the funds going directly to AOTB.
-
You can create your Justgiving fundraising page to email to your supporters using the AOTB Fundraising Info resource sheet
-
You can also easily link your fundraising page to Strava to track you or your teams progress in collecting KMs “towards Zambia”.
Partnerships
We love to work with schools and create partnerships with our partner schools in Africa. These partnerships have varied and have included receiving presentations on the work of the charity, raising funds for the charity's work and organising letter exchanges.
