Walk To Zambia raises almost £2,000

A huge THANK YOU to Stirling Uni’s Futsal Club for their fabulous “Walk to Zambia” campaign during August. They have raised almost £2000 that will go directly towards 5 skills scholarships for our K Town Queens players.
The club did an amazing job to pull together their members, friends and family for the month of August to get fit for next season by collecting kms, but also be united in their efforts to raise money to help directly change lives through football in Kalingalinga, Zambia. Special congratulations to Robbie & Katey for great energy and work rate to make this happen, plus to Lochlan, Jake, Harry and Roman for their amazing fundraising efforts. They funded their own TShirts, and brilliant social media presence and had a great plan with huge spirit culminating in a fabulous night of fun and larks at Molly Malone's in Stirling.
We are so grateful for their positive action for AOTB, which we hope they will inspire others to have so much fun as a group at work, school or club, and make such a direct impact. Here's their simple but effective plan ...
🌍FUTSAL FUNDRAISER FOR AFRICA ON THE BALL
🚶♂️We are walking, running & cycling 7,064 miles to Zambia!
📍 Goal: Cover the distance from Stirling University to the Africa on the Ball Football Ground in Zambia – 7,064 miles – From August 1st - September 1st
🗓️ Phase 1: Aug 1–14
Futsal team members only – clocking up the miles by walking, running and cycling!
🫂 Phase 2: Aug 15–31
Futsal members’ friends and family join in to help us reach our mileage goal!
🏅Phase 3: Sept 1st
Futsal are inviting everyone to join them on one final walk from Stirling University to Molly Malones where there will be a celebration to acknowledge the achievements of the fundraiser.
