VILLAGE ATHLETE NGO & LA BASED “SOLO” THE ARTIST, INSPIRES KK CHILDREN TO DRAW THEIR FUTURE

Unity of Purpose

To some, football is just a sport.

But for our young boys and girls, football means unity.

It brings them together, gives them hope, and inspires them to chase their dreams — not just as future football stars, but as role models within their communities.

Last month, hashtag#VillageAthlete, in partnership with Africa On The Ball, hosted a special satellite group call connecting young athletes from Zambia, the USA, and Germany. The highlight of the session was an art workshop led by Solo the Artist from the USA. During the session, our young athletes were encouraged to express — through drawing — what football and play personally mean to them.

These powerful artworks will soon be transformed into merchandise by Village Athlete, including hats, T-shirts, and tote bags. All proceeds from the merchandise will directly support our ongoing football pitch project, bringing us one step closer to creating a safe, inspiring space for the next generation.
