8 yr old Nottingham Forest Academy player - Kingsley Brown, Inspired us all to help changes lives through football

Kinglsey, who plays for the Nottingham Forest Academy, continuously dribbled his football for 5.6 miles on January 4, to raise money for AOTB.  When Kingsley’s teacher asked him why he chose to raise money for Africa On The Ball, he told her

“because before I did this fundraising, I couldn’t talk about the children and adults in Africa without crying because I hate knowing

of the poverty, it makes me sad, so now I’m helping to end poverty, I can now actually talk about it and it involves football which are my two passions, football and ending poverty!”

He has raised over £310 so far and so has helped support either 4 community members to get their football coaching licences, or supported almost 2 children with annual school bursaries. Only 30% of girls complete secondary school in Zambia and over 60% of young people are unemployed in Kalingalinga where AOTB has started.

Thank You Kingsley for being a shining star in 2026, and getting us all going to Be Part of the Team and Part of The Dream by taking action to help change lives through football.

What will your challenge be in 2026?
